Reese always thought of herself as the brave one when it came to the forest. The darkness of the forest would always drive away everyone else. But one day she decided to step out of her usual routine and take a walk. She didn’t seem to care the sun was going down. As she continued to move through the typical trial she could hear some rustling noises a few paces away. Oami Rockjaw, a Big Foot who has been known to do various pranks targeting hikers was surprised seeing that Reese was out this late.

“Can’t believe she’s out and alone” thought Oami.

Oami then had a sneaky idea on how to frighten her. To make her cry since she was obviously a girl. Even if she was a young adult college age. Reese continued to move through the trial — she could hear the owls hooting in the distance.

“Nothing is going to scare me off this trial” said Reese to herself.

Reese continued on her hike — meanwhile Oami began to follow her. Oami was determined to give her a fright of her life.

“This will be the ultimate prank” laughed Oami.

Oami continued to tail her even through the trees. At first Reese thought it was just some simple wildlife such as a deer. She continued to move about the hiking trial — she decided it was best to rest. She didn’t mind sleeping out in the open wilderness. She had a sweater on that was comfortable enough to sleep in. Once she found a space she made her campfire. She had some instant meals that she could cook herself. She poured some water from a water bottle out on a pan she brought with her. The pan was made to be used over the fire.

“Finally alone” thought Reese.

Reese sat down with her meal, after making it. Oami continued to move towards her location. He did his best not to make any sudden sounds. The Big Foot did his best hiding among the brush of the forest. He wanted to wait until she went to bed. Once she had finished her meal and put out the fire, she found a comfortable spot. As Reese tried to rest, she could hear some noises a few paces away. She woke up from her ordeal.

“Hello?” asked Reese, “Anyone there?”

The rustling grew louder — she was fearful it could be a mountain lion ready to pop up — but instead a badger emerged from the bush. The badger itself didn’t seem to care about the human gazing at him. But little did Reese realize — Oami was creeping right up on her. Before she realized it — Oami ends up poking her with his finger.

“Hey who’s there?!” cried Reese.

Reese turns around seeing nothing — Oami was going to play this prank on her — touching her then leaving. This played out for about a few minutes until she noticed a large shadow rushing around the forest.

“HEY!” cried Reese.

Reese then began to chase the shadow — Oami knew he was going to be exposed. But Reese was running in the dark — she didn’t see a tree branch and immediately fell right in the mud face first. She then heard a sinister laughter that wasn’t human.

“You never looked so ridiculous!” laughed Oami’s voice.

Reese was humiliated as she picked herself up, she couldn’t believe a prankster was in the forest — not realizing it was a Big Foot. But as she continued to move, the large shadow took a pinecone and tossed it right at her. Reese was knocked on the head with Oami even laughing harder. She immediately got up and recognized it was a Big Foot.

“YOU!” cried Reese.

The pinecone was still on top of her head, she wasn’t injured that much but Oami kept on laughing. It was a joke to him as she tried to grab him. The Big Foot had his fun, and poor Reese finally felt the one thing she hated — being exposed and feeling vulnerable. It would surely be a lesson she wouldn’t forget.

“You’re barking up the wrong tree for doing this!” cried Reese.

Oami continued to ignore her as she tried to grab him. The Big Foot simply was too fast. He then headed off laughing his guts off.

“You humans crack me up, you are so easy!” laughed Oami, “I could do this to you anytime I want to!”

Reese was shocked with these comments — she couldn’t believe it. Oami was quite a prankster and he wasn’t going to stop anytime soon.

“See you later human!” laughed Oami

Reese felt defeated as she gazed upon the Big Foot leaving the hiking path. She decided to rush back to her campsite. Once she did she began to take a shower and headed towards her tent. She knew she had to speak to the ranger over the Big Foot prankster. The ranger — Alyx Lewis was shocked to hear her story. She couldn’t believe there was a prankster running around the forest.

“Sounds dreadful, I will put out an alert” said Alyx.

Reese was relieved that Alyx was willing to listen. She couldn’t believe that the Big Foot prankster nearly frighten her to death. Alyx was relieved that Reese was okay since her encounter with the Big Foot. Meanwhile Oami headed back to the human camp for more laughs — he was going to wait until the evening arrived.

“Time to scare some humans” laughed Oami.

Oami continued to move through the brush of the forest, he could see the humans were all sitting at the campsite. He had his mask that he created himself — he was going to burst through creating fear. But the moment he tried to do, he then tripped on a wire — Alyx knew of the prankster’s routines and a sleeping dart came out of a compartment sending the Big Foot to sleep. Oami woke up finding himself tied up in a large tent seeing Reese and Alyx before her.

“You thought you can scare me again?” asked Reese.

The Big Foot swallowed — he knew he was going to face due justice.
